Cheap Crosses

Jesus’ death on the cross was priceless. Let us renew our minds regarding the price He paid to set us free from sin.

August 11

. . . and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
(Philippians 2:8)

Unfortunately, the average mentality and interpretation of Christians is that the cross is cheap.

Christians challenge the very validity of the cross through their actions and thoughts regarding it.

But the fact is simple: cheap crosses produce cheap Christianity.

Cheap grace is baptism without repentance, communion without fellowship, and salvation without regeneration.

The believer must know that they are the beneficiaries of a blessing—a blessing paid for by blood.

You are part of a costly salvation; in fact, it cost God everything.
